I use the floor a lot for my sewing table, hard on the back. Congratulations on your table. Looking forward to seeing your dress!Vintage Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00427588530532828527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3522116858976554998.post-32952711872175471592011-08-23T08:38:10.886+01:002011-08-23T08:38:10.886+01:00Oooo - you're new cutting table sounds lovely!...Oooo - you're new cutting table sounds lovely! I'm excited to see what fabric you have picked for your bombshell dress as I always love your fabric choices. And your beignet colour combo sounds perfect for autumn - can't wait to see your progress on both.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00358404631625584903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3522116858976554998.post-27441891423358158342011-08-22T21:43:01.748+01:002011-08-22T21:43:01.748+01:00Wow, that's a lot of TLC for the table. I'm doing the Gertie Bombshell dress, too. It didn't even occur to me to make this wait for more clement weather, but then I am from the North - we go out in our shirt sleeves in the snow on a Saturday night.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3522116858976554998.post-3062269122217747762011-08-22T21:37:36.990+01:002011-08-22T21:37:36.990+01:00Smart thinking re: timing the use of your cutting ...Smart thinking re: timing the use of your cutting table Suzy! We're still up to our eyeballs in DIY chaos re: my sewing room (LOL!) but as & when it's finished (2-3 more weekends should do it) I plan something similar to you... I'm going to cut out/trace fabric + baste/pin/mark darts etc. together on the weekends when I have longer stretches of time to devote to it. And, then sew things together at the machine in smaller time-slots in the evenings after work. Hopefully, I can be more productive this way.

Looking forward to seeing the Beignet especially (I've got a muslin of it still unfinished from last December opps! ).Claire (aka Seemane)https://www.blogger.com/profile/05175575205044308437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3522116858976554998.post-72641283547220475652011-08-22T20:25:42.326+01:002011-08-22T20:25:42.326+01:00Hi Suzy, it makes total sense....
