You can choose one of the following three patterns:
A lovely Style Print Pattern 624 from the 1940s, I think. The pattern pieces are printed but the instructions are missing. Also missing is the front facing piece for view A and the sleeve band piece. None of them look difficult to draft, if you're up to the task. Size 38 bust, so too big for me.
If you prefer the colourful 1970s, you can choose this Simplicity 4786 pattern, which includes a pinafore dress or waistcoat, a skirt and trousers. Size 16, 38 bust and all pieces and instructions included.
Lastly a modern pattern, Vogue 1092 by Tracey Reese. I adored this cute two piece suit, especially the sleeves, and very hastily bought it. What I didn't think is that I could never wear this for work as the sleeves are short and I'm not keen in displaying my tattoos at work. Sizes 6-8-10-12 and still in fabric folds.
In addition to one of these patterns I am also giving away a small box full of miscellaneous haberdashery, to the first number drawn.
To enter simply:
- Leave a comment with your choice of pattern and why. Only one can be selected.
- Be a follower of this blog
This giveaway is open worldwide and will close on Sunday, 22nd May 2011, 6pm, GMT time (London). I will endeavour to announce the winner that night.
I will use random number generator. The first number drawn will get the pattern of their choice plus the little box. After this I continue to drawn numbers and the first to be drawn that have selected one of the remaining patterns will get it. Does this make sense?
Good luck to all and many, many thanks for reading my blog! I truly love knowing all my ramblings are of interest to someone.
Congratulations! I've adored the skirt on the Tracy Reese pattern, #1092 when it first came out. I like the geometry of it and thought of colour blocking. I would love to give it a go. Please toss my name into the hat for it.

Hooray! I also like the Tracy Reese pattern, the top is great. You are doing great Suzy, go luck with the sewing!
ReplyDeleteI really like Vogue 1092 because the top is so cute, and the skirt looks to have interesting seamlines :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!

Hi! Found you on Sew Retro. I really like the 40s pattern and I think I should be able to reconstruct the missing piece. Fingers crossed on the extra haberdashery items!

Ooh, that's a tough choice! While pre-50's patterns are normally my first love...I cannot resist that 70's suit! So I will say 4786! What a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteI love the Style Print 624 pattern. I think the tailored waist will look so good over a skirt or pants. Though designed to be tucked in, I think I'll like it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and great blog.
Oooooooooooooo congratualtions on your 100 followers!
ReplyDeleteI would pick the first pattern because I am a forties gal at heart, and have been all my adult life, I just didn't realise that I was allowed to be; I don't have enough shirts, and I only have one pattern; I would make it lots of times in different fabrics; it would challenge my sewing skills as there are no instructions, AND, it's my size too. There you go! xx
Congrats on reaching 100 followers. I have to start all over again with my followers since starting my new blog. It's a bit of a bummer!
ReplyDeleteI like pattern number 1 because I never seem to be able to find shirt patterns in my bust size and this one is my exact size. Also I keep buying lots of vintage skirts but have no tops to wear with them.
Ooooo, I like the Tracey Reese pattern.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100.
I'm in a weird 70s fase right now, so Simplicity 4786 would be my choice! I would change the colors though. Something about those oranges they used to love in the 70s remind me too much of curtains! XD

Congrats Suzy 100 followers WOW!!! and thanks for having this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would like the 40's one. =)
Cool, congratulations! I'd have to pick the 70's pattern. I like the pinafore and the skirt.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I would like the surprise box please!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100 followers - I'm not surprised, your blog is fab and your projects are always so inspiring. I think the patterns would be too small for me, so I'll pass on my '12 words or less' LOL - Congrats again!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching 100 fans.
ReplyDeletePlease don't enter me in the draw, just wanted to say what a great achievement ;-)
Congratulations on the 100! I'm still looking forward to that day for myself.
ReplyDeleteStyle Print 624 is beautiful and just the vintage blouse pattern I've been dreaming of for a while. I love that it allows for a little ease above while streamlining things below for tucking in.
I like the vintage 70's pattern. Congrats on 100!

The chevron on the 70s skirt is calling to me! HUGE CONGRATS ON 100!

ReplyDeleteHello! Normally I'm a 40s style gal all the way, but for some reason I'm really loving that 70s pinafore! So please enter me for Simplicity 4786 -- and what luck, it's just my size!
ReplyDeleteOh! I NEED that blouse pattern! I am desperately low on them, and I can fudge my way into a 38!
